2007-2008: SPU Signs Jacobs and Snook

SPU has announced the signing of Francesca Jacobs and Betsy Snook, according to a school release. Jacobs is a L10 who trains at Grace Gymnastics (Lakewood YMCA). She recently placed 5th AA at the 2007 Region II L10 Regionals, but did not compete at Nationals. She placed 5th AA at the 2005 L9 Western Nationals. Snook is a L10 at Sunburst in Oregon. She placed 12th AA at the 2007 Region II L10 Regionals, in the Senior C division. She was 42nd at the 2006 L9 Western Nationals and 14th AA at the 2005 L9 Western Nationals. Link: SPU Release

2007-2008: Fogle Signs with Ball State

Nina Fogle has signed with Ball State for 2007-2008, according to a school release. Fogle is a L10 who trains at Metropolitan Gymnastics in Washington. A four-time National qualifier, she placed 52nd AA in 2007 as a Senior D at the L10 Nationals. She also placed 10th on BB in 2004 and 2005. Link: Ball State Release
Dickerson Named Assistant at Kentucky

Chuck Dickerson has been named an assistant at Kentucky. Most recently, he was a club coach at Texas East for four years, and prior to that, a coach at Rowland Ballard. Link: UK Release

2008-2008: Konsevick to Penn State (W)

Daryl Konsevick has committed to Penn State for 2008-2009, according to an athlete submission. She's a L10 who trains at Galaxy in New York. The five-time National qualifier recently placed 18th AA, 2nd on UB and tied for 8th on FX at the 2007 L10 Nationals, Sr. C. In 2006, she placed 6th AA, 3rd on UB, 5th on FX and 7th on BB at the L10 Nationals. She also won National Titles on the FX in 2005 and on the BB (tie) in 2004, with top 10 AA finishes both years.
2007-2008: Pierce to Join SJSU

Jymmie Pierce will join the San Jose State squad for 2007-2008, according to a site submission. Pierce is a L10 at JAG Gymnastics. She placed 16th AA at the 2007 Region I L10 Regionals, Sr. D.
Stanford (W) Announces Rest of Recruiting Class

Stanford has issued a release with the remainder of their recruiting class. As previously highlighted, Alyssa Brown will sign and defer until 2008-2009. Joining the Stanford squad for 2007-2008 will be Shelley Alexander and Gretchen O'Henley. Alexander is a L10 who trains at USA Aerial Athletics. She tied for 34th AA at the 2007 L10 Nationals, as a Senior C. She was 23rd AA and 7th on VT in 2006, as a Senior A. O'Henley is a local Bay Area product who trains at Head Over Heels Gymnastics. She was 9th AA and 4th on FX at the 2007 Region I L10 Regionals. She was 48th AA and 8th on FX at the 2006 L10 Nationals as a Senior A. Link: SWG Release
2008-2009: Eller to Washington

Lauren Eller has committed to Washington for 2008-2009, according to a site submission. Eller is a L10 who trains at Byers Sacramento. In 2007, Eller captured the Senior B L10 National Title on FX, while placing 5th on VT and 7th in the AA. At the 2006 L10 Nationals, she tied for 9th AA while placing 2nd on UB and 7th on FX. She captured L10 NorCal state AA titles from 2005-2007.

2008-2009: Pisani to Arkansas

Jamie Pisani has reportedly committed to Arkansas for 2008-2009, according to a site submission. Pisani is a L10 who trains at Northstars. She recently placed 3rd AA, 3rd on VT, 5th on UB and tied for 8th on FX at the 2007 L10 Nationals, Senior C. In 2005, she tied for 32nd AA and 5th on VT at the L10 Nationals.

Jillian O'Neal has committed to the University of Arizona, according to a site submission. O'Neal is a L10 who trains at the Arizona Sunrays. She was the 2007 Arizona L10 Senior B champ in the UB, BB and all-around. She was 46th AA at the 2007 L10 Nationals, Sr. B. In 2005, she placed 11th AA as a Jr. C at the Region I L10 Regionals.

Canadian Nationals: National Open Finals

In the finals of the senior (16+) National Open division of the Canadian Championships, Monica Nolet took first. Sac State signee Alycia Chan was 7th and Boise State bound Kelsey Lang was 8th. Link: National Open Results
Canadian Nationals: HP Senior Finals

In the Senior High Performance (elite) division of the Canadian Championships, Kristina Vaculik took first. UCLA signee Marci Bernholtz finished tied for 3rd, and Utah signee Gael Mackie was 5th. Stanford recruit Alyssa Brown was 6th, and Oregon State's Laura Ann Chong was 12th. Link: Sr. HP AA Finals
