2007-2008: Thomas Transfer to TWU

Abbi Thomas will transfer from Oregon State to Texas Women's University, according to a TWU release. She will be a junior. Link: TWU Release
2008-2009: Taylor Commits to UK

Jennifer Taylor has committed to Kentucky, according to her official website. Taylor is a L10 and former elite who trains at the Krafft Academy. She's a three-time L10 National Champion on the UB. This past season, she placed 4th AA and 1st on UB at the 2007 Region III L10 Regionals. In 2006, she was 5th AA, 5th(t) on VT and 1st on UB at the L10 Nationals, after coming back from an injury in 2005. She also competed elite later in 2006, with a 13th place finish at the 2006 US Classic. Link: Official Web Site

2007-2008: Madrid Signs with SPU

Anissa Madrid, a L10 at Metropolitain Gymnastics, has signed with SPU for 2007-2008. She is also an eight time state high school champion. In 2007, she placed 10th AA and 2nd on BB at the Region II L10 Regionals, Senior C. She was also 50th AA at the 2005 L10 Nationals. Link: SPU Release

2008-2009: Ainsworth to Pitt

Kelsey Ainsworth has reportedly committed to Pittsburgh for 2008-2009, according to a site submission. Ainsworth is a L10 who trains at Krafft Academy. The five time National qualifier finished 28th AA at the 2007 L10 Nationals, Sr. B. Also, she placed 17th AA in 2005 at the L10 Nationals, 30th in 2004, and 14th in 2003. Link: Videos on YouTube

2008-2009: Barr Reportedly Commits to NC State

Brooke Barr has reportedly committed to NC State. She's a L10 who trains at ASAP in PA. In 2007, she finished 12th AA and 5th on FX at the Region VII L10 Regionals, Sr. B. She finished 16th AA at the Regional meet in 2006. Link: FX Video on YouTube from L10 States and BB and VT
2008-2009: Cardenas to Arizona

Rebecca Cardenas has reportedly committed to Arizona, according to a site submission. Cardenas is a L10 who trains at the Hawaiian Island Twisters. In 2007, she placed 48th AA at the L10 Nationals. Also, in 2006, she was 25th AA while tying for 6th on VT and 3rd on BB in the Junior D division at Nationals. Her top finish came in 2004, when she finished 5th AA. Action Photos from Timeless Images

Katie Matusik of WOGA has committed to Arizona, as announced on her official web site. She tied for 14th AA and placed 4th on BB at the 2007 L10 Nationals as a Senior A. She also tied for 42nd in 2006 and as 46th in 2005. Link: Matusik's Web

2007-2008: Pitt Signs Vafiadou

Pittsburgh has signed Shannon Vafiadou to a letter of intent, according to a school release. She's a three time L10 National qualifier who trains at Chelsea Piers in NYC. She placed 47th AA and 10th (t) on VT at the 2007 L10 Nationals, Sr. D. She was 9th AA at the 2006 Region VII L10 Regionals. Links: Pitt Release and Vault Video and FX Video
2007-2008: Habbib to Nebraska

Brittnee Habbib of Canada has signed with NU during the Late Period. She will compete during 2007-2008. She's a senior high performance (elite) athlete from Gemini who sports extensive international experience. She was 13th AA in the preliminaries of the 2007 Canadian Championships. In 2006, she tied for 5th AA and 8th on BB at the Canadian Championships. She was also part of the Canadian team at the World Championships and the Commmonwealth Games. Link: NU Release

Arno Adds Redshirt Year at TWU

Courtney Arno has opted to return for a fifth year at TWU. Arno was the 2007 USAG National Champ on the UB and the 2006 National Champ on the BB. She finished tied for 5th on UB at the 2007 NCAA South Central Regional. Link: TWU Release
