Arizona Signs Four - Greg @ 10:31 am PST
As expected from prior reports at this site, Arizona has signed four: Rebecca (Becca) Cardenas, Deanna Graham, Katie Matusik and Jillian O’Neal. Link: Wildcat Release

Southern Utah has announced the signing of Lauren Jeffrey and Gabriela Grey, as expected. Link: SUU Release

Rachan to NIU - Greg @ 11:03 am PST
Tanya Rachan will sign with Northern Illinois, according to her club web site. Rachan is a L10 who trains at Arena. As a Level 9 in 2007, she placed 20th AA, including 1st on FX and 2nd(t) on BB at the Eastern Nationals. She also qualified to L9 Eastern Nationals in 2006.

Reibold to UNH - Greg @ 9:09 am PST
Danielle Reibold is expected to sign with New Hampshire, according to her school paper. Reibold is a L10 who trains at Ricochets. The Regional AA champ, she tied for 33rd AA and 5th on UB at the 2007 L10 Nationals, Senior B. She also placed 8th AA and 4th on BB at the 2005 Region VII L10 Regional meet. Link: School Paper (PDF)

Ruderman to Rutgers - Greg @ 8:57 am PST
Stacy Ruderman has signed with Rutgers, according to the Philadelphia Inquirer. She's a L10 who trains at Will-Moor.

Missouri Signs Trio - Greg @ 11:59 pm PST
Missouri has announced the signing of Mary Burke, Tara Foster and Allison Heizelman. The commits of all three were covered in previous news items. Link: Mizzou Release

Washington Signs Four - Greg @ 2:53 pm PST
Washington has signed Hats Akaogi, Amanda Cline, Lauren Eller and Ruby Engreitz. The commits of all four were covered in previous news items. Link: UW Release

Kent State Signs Caldwell, Rothrock, Skiffington - Greg @ 1:35 pm PST
Kent State has signed Jaimee Caldwell, Erin Rothrock, and Brianna Skiffington. According to a release, KSU prioritized UB and BB. Per Assistant Coach Kurt Hettinger, “In this class is what we feel are some of the best beam workers in the country".
Caldwell is a L10 who trains at Queen City. She's the 2006 and 2007 Region V BB Champ. She also placed 53rd AA at the 2006 L10 Nationals, as a Senior A. This past season, she placed 8th AA at Regionals.
Rothrock is a L10 at Prestige in PA. A two-time L10 National qualifier, she placed 49th AA in 2005. She was 10th AA and 4th on BB at the 2007 Region VII L10 Regionals.
Skiffington is a three-time L10 National qualifier who trains at Cherry Hill in New Jersey. She was 43rd AA and tied for 3rd on BB at the 2007 L10 Nationals, Senior B. She also tied for 38th AA and 8th on BB at the 2005 L10 Nationals.

Men's: Ohio State Signs Onorato and Bilozertchev - Greg @ 9:13 pm PST
OSU has signed Philip Onorato and Alexy Bilozertchev, according to a release. Onorato's commit was covered in a previous news item. Bilozertchev was the Junior Champ at the 2007 VISA (US) Championships. He also won the PH, placed 2nd PB and 3rd on FX. He was 4th AA in 2006. His father is Ohio State assistant and former World and Olympic Gold Medalist Dmitri Bilozertchev. Said Coach Avery, "Getting the No.1 and No. 2 recruits holds well for the future of this Buckeye program". Link: Ohio State Release

Men's: Minnesota Signs Three - Greg @ 8:59 pm PST
As previously reported, Minnesota has signed Ross Cameratta, Russell Dabritz, and DJ Repp. Link: Minn Release

Men's: Cal Signs Ishino - Greg @ 8:55 pm PST
Cal has announced the signing of Glen Ishino. He trains at SCATS in Southern California. In 2007, he placed 2nd AA and 1st on Rings at the VISA (US) Championships. He also placed 2nd on PH and HB. He'll compete with the rest of the Jr. National team at the Jr. Pan Ams this month. His oldest sister Genine competed for Cal while his other sister, Allyse, competes for Stanford. Link: Cal Release

Pittsburgh Signs Three - Greg @ 4:41 pm PST
As expectedly, Pitt has signed Kelsey Ainsworth, Alicia Talluci, and Amy Varela. All three commits were covered in prior news items. Link: Pitt Release

Michigan State Signs Berg and Brennan - Greg @ 1:58 pm PST
MSU has signed Jackie Berg and Alyssa Brennan. Berg's commit was covered in a previous news item. Brennan committed early in the process but was not yet confirmed. Brennan is a L10 at Harbour City. She placed 52nd AA at the 2006 L10 Nationals. Link: MSU Release

Maloney to WVU - Greg @ 9:24 am PST
Tina Maloney has signed with WVU, according to the Madison (IN) Courier. She's a L10 at Madison Gymnastics World in Indiana. She placed 13th AA and 3rd on VT at the Region V L10 Regionals in 2007 as a Senior B. She was 15th AA and tief for 2nd on both VT and FX at the 2006 Region V L10 Regionals, Jr. D.

Collegiate SimGym 2008 Signups Are Now Open - Greg @ 9:33 pm PST

Towson Signs Three - Greg @ 11:10 am PST
Towson has signed three athletes, according to the coaching staff. In addition to Lindsay Poplaski, they have signed Kacy Catanzaro and Alyssa Dittman.
Catanzaro is a L10 who trains at Rettig's in New Jersey. In 2007, she placed 12th AA at the Region VII L10 Regionals as a Senior B. She was also 14th AA at the 2006 Region VII L10 Regionals, Jr. D.
Dittman is a L10 at Ricochet's. A 2007 Region VII L10 Regional qualifier, she tied for 45th AA at the 2006 L10 Nationals as a Junior D. She was also 44th AA in 2005. Link: YouTube.com Video of Catanzaro

Stanford Signs Three - Reener @ 10:19 am PST
Alyssa Brown (Canadian National Team member), Catherine Nguyen (International Elite) and Nicole Pechanec (Czech National Team member) signed with Stanford. The commits of Brown and Nguyen were previously reported.
Born in the US to Czech parents, Pechanec competes under her Czech name Pechankova. A Parkette, she has competed for the Czech National Team at the World Championships and at World Cup Events. She recently placed 2nd on the FX at the Glasgow Grand Prix and won BB at the Ostrava World Cup. She was also 8th(t) AA, 2nd(t) BB and 7th(t) UB at the 2005 L10 Nationals.
