Women's National Rankings for the Week of January 21st Featured

UCLA's Kyla Ross is Tied for 1st on UB UCLA's Kyla Ross is Tied for 1st on UB (c) Lloyd Smith 2018 Used by Permission

OU maintained their grip on the top spot, despite "only" posting a 197.0 this weekend.  UCLA is 2nd and Florida is 3rd, as both teams have closed the gaps. Utah solidly in fourth and LSU is now in fifth, after a strong performance this weekend.

OU is the leader on UB and BB and is tied for the top spot on vault with Utah.  UCLA continues to lead on FX.

OU's Maggie Nichols continues to lead the AA, although she sat out this weekend.  Utah's Mykayla Skinner holds the top spot on VT, while Florida's Trinity Thomas and UCLA's Kyla Ross share the top spot on UB.  UCLA's Katelyn Ohashi leads the country on both BB and with her now internationally famous FX.

There's been quite a bit of movement this week, as it is only the third week.  Inconsistency and/or scoring variation can easily swing a team's score by one or even two points, and we see that in the standings.  The top five are in one clear cluster and then from rank #6 to #20 we have less then one point separating the field.
