2019-20 Koulos to UCLA

Wildfire Gymnastics has announced that their L10 gymnast, Nicoletta Koulos has accepted a scholarship offer from UCLA.  She placed 1st on vault and floor and 1st AA at last season's SoCal Meet.  She was 3rd AA at regionals and 9th AA at JOs.

2019-20 DeSouza to Cal

Nevaeh DeSouza, L10 at Dream Xtreme Gymnastics, has committed to Cal.  Last season she placed 3rd AA at the NorCal meet, 2nd AA at regionals and 12th AA at JOs.

2017-18 Haycox to W&M

Hailey Haycox, L10 at Gymstrada, has committed to William and Mary.  She was the regional floor champ in 2014.  Her 2015 season ended at her state meet where she competed three events.

2016-17 Buford to Yale

Jade Buford, L10 at Texas Dreams, has committed to Yale.  She placed 1st on floor and 6th AA at her 2015 state meet.  She picked up regional beam and floor titles and placed 2nd AA.  She finished the season at JOs, placing 30th AA.

2018-19 Lui to UNH

Hailey Lui, L10 at Silvia's, hascommitted to New Hampshire.  She placed 6th AA at her state meet during the 2015 season and qualified to regionals.

2016-17 Houghton to SJSU

Karli Houghton, L10 at Wildfire in California, has committed to San Jose.  In the 2014 season, she finshed 4th AA at her state meet and 16th AA at regionals.

2016-17 Quaglia to Minnesota

Kristen Quaglia, L10 from Classic Gymnastics in Minnesota, has committed to Minnesota.  Last season she finished 3rd AA at her state meet.  She won the regional bars title and her 4th place AA finish qualified her to JOs.

2017-2018: Thompson to Washington

Geneva Thompson, a L10 from Metropolitan, has committed to Washington, according to her club.  At the 2015 L10 JO Nationals, she tied for 4th on VT, 6th on UB and placed 29th AA.  As a L9 in 2014, she tied for 3rd AA at the Level 9 Western Nationals.

2016-2017: Lowery to Oregon State

Australian Isis Lowery has committed to Oregon State for 2016-2017.  In 2014, she placed 4th AA and 1st on VT at the Australian Championships.

2016-17 King to Temple

Whitney King, L10 at Capital Gymnastics in Va, has committed to Temple.  She placed 3rd AA at her 2015 state meet and 7th AA at regionals.  She finished the season with a trip to JOs where she finished 31st AA

World Championships: Event Finals, Day 2

Former UCLA signee Simone Biles won golds on BB and FX, blowing away the field, to win her third and fourth golds of the Championships.  OU commit Maggie Nichols picked up a bronze on BB.  Former OU Sooner Chris Brooks was 6th on HB.  The USA's Donnell Whittenburg won the bronze on VT (Ri Se Gwang of PRK won the Gold) while teammate Danell Leyva won the Silver on HB (Kohei Uchimura won the Gold).  Leyva was also sixth on PB.

2016-17 Dobronics to EMU

Emili Dobronics, L10 at United Gymnastics Academy in Illinois, has committed to Eastern Michigan.  She ended her 2014 season at her state meet, where she competed three events.  She did not compete last season.

2017-18 DeHarde to Utah State

Autumn DeHarde, L10 at LeFleur Gymnastics in Wisconsin, has committed to Utah State.  Last season she won the AA and swept the events at her state meet.  She placed 4th AA and 1st on FX at regionals and 19th AA at JOs.   (Note:  Gym-style.com indicates that she committed to Utah, but her Twitter indicates that she committed to Utah State)

UCLA signee Madison Kocian tied for the UB gold at the World Championships.  She tied with Yilin Fan of China and Russia's Viktoria Komova and Daria Spiridonova.  The USA's Gabrielle Douglas was fifth, and LSU commit Ruby Harrold was 7th.  Simone Biles of the USA won the Bronze on VT; Maria Paseka of Russia won the gold.

Former OU Sooner Alex Naddour was seventh on the PH, while former Ohio State standout Brandon Wynn was fifth on the Rings.  The USA's Donnell Whittenburg was 8th on Rings.  Japan's amazing Kenzo Shirai won FX, while the UK went 1-2 on PH with Max Whitlock winning the Gold.  Greece's Eleftherios Petrounias joyfully won his country's first gold on Rings, qualifying to the Olympics in the process.

King Kohei (Uchimura) of Japan won his sixth straight World AA title.  Cuba's Manrique Larduet was 2nd while China's Shudi Deng was 3rd.  Donnell Whittenburg of the US was 8th while teammate Danell Leyva was 17th.
