Former OU Sooner Kanji Oyama won the Men's National Qualifier on Saturday. Michigan's Cameron Bock was 2nd, while Stanford incomng frosh Riley Loos was 3rd. OU's Matt Wenske was 4th will former USAF star Timothy Wang was 5th.
Japan won both the Men's and Women's team titles at the World University Games. Alex Diab of Illinois, representing the USA, qualified to the finals on FX and R. Nebraska's Jake Bonnay, competing for Canada, made the PH final.
Katie Heenan was one of UGA's biggest standouts as a gymnast. She has gained coaching experience at the club level.
Michigan has hired Maile'ana Kanewa-Hermelyn as an assistant. She started as a volunteer assistant last season before moving over to a paid assistant following Scott Vetere's dismissal. The former Sooner was an undergrad and graduate assistant for the Sooners.

Entering her sophmore year, Tirzah Delph found a new home at Towson. It appears that she did not compete last season, so she may have an additional year of eligibility available.
SPU has hired former Oregon State star Kaytianna McMillan as an assistant coach.
PSU has added former LSU great Ashleigh Gnat as an assistant. She's been serving as a graduate assistant these last two seasons at LSU.

The summer elite season is well underway, with the American Classic this week in Utah. OU commit Faith Torrez won the senior division. UCLA commit Emily Lee was 2nd, while Bama commit Shania Adams was 3rd.
Key retires from gymnastics at Alabama.
ASU has promoted Kristina Baskett to an assistant coach. Baskett had served as a volunteer assistant the last two seasons. The fromer Ute standout was an NCAA champion and 12-time All-American. She has also been active as a stunt double, Cirque performer, model and actress.

Army (M) has hired Evan Eigner as an assistant coach. He had been an assistant at Temple (M) and Maryland (W). He was also a competitor for Ohio State for two season and Temple for two more. His father Fred Turoff was Head Coach at Temple and a USA Gymnastics Hall of Fame member.

UCLA announced the addition of BJ Das as a volunteer assistant. Das, a dancer/choreographer and former gymnast was a volunteer assistant at Utah this past year.
