Florida commit Morgan Hurd won a silver on BB and Oregon State commit Jade Carey won a silver on FX as the 2017 World Championships in Montreal concluded on Sunday.
In Day 1 of the Event Finals at the 2017 World Gymnastics Championships, gymnasts with NCAA ties brought home medals. On the Men's FX, OU's Yul Moldauer won the bronze. On the Women's vault, Oregon State commit Jade Carey earned a silver, just missing out on the title to Russia's Maria Paseka. On PH, former Sooner Alex Naddour finished 4th.
Florida commit Morgan Hurd was the surprise winner in Montreal at the World Championships this evening, earning the title of 2017 Women's All-Around World Champion. She edged Canada's Ellie Black, who earned an historic silver medal for her country. Russia's Elena Eremina was 3rd. Pre-meet favorite Ragan Smith, an OU commit, had to withdraw with an ankle injury suffered in warmups.

Xiao Ruoteng of China posted an 86.933 to edge teammate Lin Chaopan and claim the title of 2017 Men's World All-Around champion at the World Championships in Montreal. Kenzo Shirai of Japan was 3rd. OU's Yul Moldauer placed 7th.

All four American women advanced to Finals at the preliminaries of the World Championships.
OU's Yul Moldauer qualified 7th to the AA final and 3rd to the FX final at the World Championships in Montreal. Former Sooner Alex Naddour was 3rd on PH and made the final. He's also the first reserve on Rings. The USA's Donnell Whittenburg made the FX final as well.
Iowa State has hired former OU standout Kristin (Smith) White as an assistant. She has been coaching at Dynamo and as a Graduate Assistant at OU.

DU has announced that former star and elite standout Jessica Lopez has joined the DU staff as a volunteer assistant. Former Cal athlete Desiree Palomares will serve as a volunteer Director of Operations.

UNH has hired Sunny Marchand as an assistant coach. Marchand was a graduate assistant at Ball State. Prior to that, she was an assistant and student-athlete at Bowling Green.

BGSU has hired former UK gymnast Marissa Beucler as an assistant coach. They also added former WVU standout Alaska Richardson as an volunteer assistant.

Josh Nilson has been named Assistant Coach according to a USAF Gymnastics tweet. An official announcement has not been posted on their web page yet. Nilson was briefly named Head Coach at EMU. His coaching credentials including stints at PSU and USU.
Interim Head Coach John Court has added Dianna Renalli as Assistant Coach and Andrea Snyder-Petersen as Volunteer Coach.
