Supreme Court Rules in Favor of Athletes in NCAA Case

The US Supreme Court ruled in favor of a group of former athletes serving as plaintiffs in a case against the NCAA.  The Court upheld a lower court ruling that the NCAA could not enforce limits on education-related expenses.  This could include benefits like computers, graduate scholarships and others.  It left in place restrictions on non-academic compensation.  Individual conferences will be able to set their own limits.
