Women's National Rankings for the Week of March 21st

Written by

The regular season is now over, and the Troester.com GymInfo National rankings are based on final Regional Qualifying Score (RQS).

Florida tops the final Top 25 RQS ranking, with Bama in 2nd.  Oregon State moves up to third for the final ranking.  Florida continues to lead the team rankings on FX, but ceded the top spot on VT with Bama.  OU took over the top spot on BB while Oregon State tops the final UB rankings.

The RQS formula really places an emphasis on away meet scores.  To calculate the RQS, you must first find a team or individual's top three AWAY scores.  From the remaining scores, you select the three highest HOME or AWAY scores.  Then, you toss out the highest score and average the remaining five.

Individually, PSU's Sharaya Musser was the top AAer in these final RQS rankings.  On the VT, NU's Erin Davis claimed the top spot.  On UB, UF's Alaina Johnson and UGA's Kat Ding tied for the top spot.  Three athletes ended up tied for the top spot on BB:  Elyse Hopfner-Hibbs of UCLA, Leslie Mak of Oregon State, and Geralen Stack-Eaton of Bama.  On FX, Florida's Ashanee Dickerson claimed the top spot.

Here's this week's Top 25.   The Top 36 qualify for Regionals.
