Defending National Champion UCLA tops the Women's Preseason Coaches' Poll, as published by the Women's Collegiate Gymnastics Association (WCGA). OU is 2nd but received 25 first place votes compared to UCLA's 20. Florida is 3rd with 9 first place votes and LSU is 4th with two first place votes. Utah is 5th. #7 UGA received the final first place vote.
OU tops the Men's Preseason Coaches' Poll, as compiled by the Collegiate Gymnastics Association. They have 19 of 20 first place voles. Stanford is 2nd and Illinois is 3rd.
Mary Lewis intends to retire after this season.
The season is right around the corner, and with the new year, we have a new set of capsule Season Previews of the Top 25 teams, as ranked by the Coaches' Preseason Poll. In each Preview, we've summarized the team's returning routines, their missing routines, their returning starters and the rest of their roster, with a special focus on their newcomers. We'll also give a brief overview preview of their prospects and challenges.

Kara Eaker has announced her commitment to Utah. The senior elite from GAGE placed 4th AA (1st BB) at the 2018 American Classic, 16th AA (5th BB) at the US Classic and 7th AA at US Championships (9th UB, 2nd BB, 5th FX). She wsa 6th AA at the World Selection Camp.
LSU has announced the signing of Bailey Ferrar, Kiya Johnson, Kai Rivers and Caitlin Smith in a series of tweets. The commits of all four were covered in previous news items. Ferrar will start with the Tigers in January while Johnson will graduate a year early.

TWU has signed five athletes for 2019-2020: Beth Lazarus, Daisy Woodring, Kyla Podges, Maddie Griffith and Mara Johnson. The commits of Podges, Griffith and Johnson were covered previously.
PSU has signed Amy Bladon, Bella Romagnano and Cassidy Rushlow to NLIs for 2019-2020. Link: Combined Release
SEMO has signed Dahlia Solorzano-Caruso, Jordan Jones and Mallory Desch to NLIs for 2019-2020.
Florida has confirmed the signing of Payton Richards, a L10 from Aerials. A three time JO National Team member, she finished 4th AA, 3rd(t) on FX, 4th(t) on UB and 9th(t) on BB at the 2018 L10 Junior Olympic Nationals. In 2017, she tied for the BB JO National title, placed 2nd on UB, 5th on VT and finished 5th(t) on FX en route to 2nd(t) AA. She won BB and tied for the AA title at the 2016 Nationals.
