Markle commits to USU

Devin Markle, a L10 from Flips, Reno, has committed to USU according to information submitted by her family. After being hampered for much of 03 and 04 seasons with injuries, she took 2nd place on UB at '04 regionals and earned a JO alternate spot. She competed at the '02 JOs, finishing 17th AA, 7th Vault and 11th FX.

Amanda Montgomery has reportedly committed to Bama, according to several board posts. She reportedly will be an invited walkon, as she recovers from an injury suffered last spring. Heather Purnell has committed to Stanford, according to Gymn.ca. The Canadian Olympian trains at the Ottawa Gymnastics Centre. She placed 2nd AA, 2nd on VT and FX, plus 5th on both UB and BB, at the 2004 Canadian Championships. In 2003, she won the World Championship/Pan Am Games Team Trials and placed 7th at the Visa American Cup. In 2002, she placed 5th AA at the Commonwealth Games. Cassie Martin has reportedly committed to Alabama, according to a board post. No confirmation has been posted on her official web site. Martin is a L10 at Hill's. In 2004, she finished 3rd AA, 2nd on UB, and 1st (t) on FX at the L10 Nationals, in Sr. A. In 2003, she placed 1st AA, 1st (t) on UB and FX, and 2nd (t) on BB at the L10 Nationals, as a Jr. C.
