Oregon State's Jade Carey won the Gold on the VT to lead the US at the first day of the Event Finals at the Liverpool World Championships. UCLA's Jordan Chiles won the Silver on VT while Shilese Jones won a Silver on UB with an upgraded set for Finals. Abby Brushwood, Centre Elite Gymnastics, qualified to regionals and placed 12th AA.
Stanford's Brody Malone hit 6 for 6 and finished 4th at the World Championship Men's AA Final. He was just 0.3 from the Bronze. Frosh teammate Asher Hong finished 6th AA, marking the first time the US Men have placed two in the top 10 since 2003. Olympic champion Daiki Hashimoto of Japan won the title.

Emry Clasen, LaFleurs, qualified to nationals last season and finished 54th AA.
Avery Neff, Olympus Gymnastics, placed 1st AA at her '22 state and regional meets. She placed 2nd AA (1st FX) at nationals last spring. She placed 1st AA (1st UB/BB) at '21 Nationals .

Brazil's Rebecca Andrade won the Gold Medal in the AA, ahead of the USA's Shilese Jones in 2nd. Oregon State's Jade Carey was 6th. Andrade powered to the lead in the first rotation with her exemplary Cheng vault.

The US Men finished fifth at the World Championships, just behind Italy. China rebounded from a rough prelim session to take the win in an error plagued final. Japan was 2nd and Great Britain far behind in third. The US Men were led by Stanford frosh Asher Hong and fifth year senior Brody Malone, plus junior Colt Walker. Former PSU star Stephen Nedoroscik contributed on Pommels.

Kristina Shchennikova, 5280 Gymnastics, placed 1st on floor and 3rd AA at her '22 state meet. She placed 6th AA at regionals and 22nd AA at nationals.
