Russia's Artur Dalaloyan and China's Xiao Ruoteng tied for first place in a thrilling final, with Dalaloyan winning the tiebreaker to become the 2018 World AA Champion (Men's). Ex-Michigan star and former NCAA champion Sam Mikulak was in third heading into high bar, but problems on the event left him in fifth. A 13.425 would have secured him the bronze. a mark he easily exceeded in the prelims and men's team competition. OU's Yul Moldauer finished 12th AA.

The US Women overcame a few mistakes to easily win the team title at the 2018 Doha World Championships. Simone Biles, Kara Eaker, and Florida commits Morgan Hurd and Riley McCusker joined with Utah commit Grace McCallum to defeat Russia, 171.629 to 162.863.
The US Men placed fourth in the Men's Team Final, just missing a spot at the 2020 Olympics. They will have another shot next year. In a thrilling finale, China edged Russia by the narrowest of margins, posting a 256.634 to Russia's 256.586. Japan was third at 253.744, with the US at 251.994.
Katie Fitzpatrick from Parkettes has committed to Cornell. She qualified to regionals last season and finished 11th AA.
Skylar Killough-Wilhelm from Triad has committed to Washington. Last season she placed 2ndAA at her state meet, 3rd AA at regionals (1st V) and 4th AA at JOs.
Jenna Domingo from HITS has committed to Oregon State. Last season she earned the bar title at her state meet. She picked up 1st place finished on bars, beam, floor and all around at regionals. She placed 13th AA at JOs.
Past, present and future NCAAers were in action at the World Gymnastics Championships in Doha this weekend. Here's how they fared in the preliminary rounds:
Arizona Dynamics' Aimee Lee is headed to Yale. Last season she finished 5th AA at her state meet and 12th AA at regionals.
Lauren McKeown from Crenshaw Gymnastics has committed to Brown. Last season she placed 3rd AA at her state meet and 5th AA at regionals, qualifying to JOs. She competed 3 events at JOs.
Angelica Labat from Ocean Tumblers has committed to ISU. Last season she finished 4th AA at her state meet, 9th AA at regionals and 22nd AA at JOs.
Liz Henshall from Superior Gymnastics has committed to Rutgers. Last season she placed 7th AA at her state meet and 17th AA at regionals.
Ava Mabanta from Denton Gymnastics has committed to Denver. She finished 1st on beam and the all around at her 2018 state meet. Her 2nd place finish at regionals qualified her to JOs where she finished 22nd.
Lyden Saltness from Midwest Gymnastics has committed to Auburn. She is a 2018 regionals AA, bars and floor title winner. She won the JOs bars title. She qualified to compete as a Junior Elite, finishing 24th AA at both the American Classic andthe US Classic.
Assistant Coach Scott Vetere has resigned amid allegations of indecent conduct outside an Ann Arbor apartment complex. He and an 18 year old unnamed student athlete face charges. He was arraigned on October 19th but the student-athlete has not yet been arraigned.
Colleen Adario from Premier Gymnastics has committed to UNH. Last season she qualified to regionals and finished 10th AA
Peyton Gillen, a L10 from Byers, has committed to Sac State for 2019-2020. She qualified to Regionals as a L10 in 2018, while competing three events. In 2017, she placed 10th AA at the Level 9 Western Nationals.
