Sac State 193.05 at SJSU 193.575

The Spartans came from behind to down the Hornets, after a slow start on vault.  Individually, Kalliah McCartney of Sac State won the beam and floor once again, and tied for teh vault title with teammate Cassie Benning.  Teammate Nicole Meiller spun her way to the bars title.  McCartney posted a strong 39.35 to win the AA.

SUU used a 48.925 in their final rotation, vault, to catapult past the Aggies.  Sarah Landes led the way, posting a 39.125 to win the AA.  She also took the beam.  Teammate Rochelle Bernier won vault, while teammates Natalie Trejo and Jamie Armijo tied for FX honors.  USU's Kinzey Martinez led an Aggies sweep on bars.

Kentucky 194.8 at Bama 196.575

Bama triumphed at home, led once again by Kim Jacob's win in the AA.  Jacob also added a win on beam and tied teammate Ashley Priess for the bars title.  Teammate Kayla Williams won beam, while the Tide's Ashley Sledge and Diandra Milliner tied for the vault title.

Denver 195.125 at Arkansas 195.475

The GymBacks rebounded with the return of Katherine Grable to beat DU.  Grable won the AA with a 39.35, winning vault and tying for the floor title with DU's Nina McGee.  Frosh teammate Erin Freier won teh bars.  For DU, Melodie Pulgarin-Linero added a win on beam.

Centenary 189.15 at SEMO 193.7

SEMO celebrated its home opener win with a new season high.  Taryn Vanderpool led the way, winning the AA with a career-high 38.95.  She picked up wins on bars and beam, while teammate Megan Fosnow won the vault.  For Centenary, Meg Crowley won floor.

Brittany DeZiel of Stout won the floor and bars (tied with Winona State's Danielle Thenell) en route to an AA win, but it wasn't enough to stop Winona State, who won the meet on beam.

Host Kent State won a closely matched tri-meet, led by Marie Case's 39.2 AA win.  She also picked up wins on beam and floor.  Teammate Rachel Guida won bars, while the Golden Flames' Chelsea Drooger tied for the vault title with WMU's Jessi Buis.

NIU 192.075 at Ball State 192.475

Ball State held off visiting NIU to move to 2-0 in MAC action.  Brittney Emmons led Ball State, winning vault and the AA.  Teammate Brooklyn Shumacher tied for the bars title with NIU's Megan Melendez.  Melendez also won the beam.  On floor, BSU's Denaisha Christian tied NIU's Amanda Stepp for the title.

Auburn 196.025 at Florida 197.65

Florida blasted to a 197.65, led by Kytra Hunter's 39.7 AA win.  Hunter posted a near-perfect 9.975 to win vault.  She also won beam and floor.  Frosh teammates Bridget Sloan and Bianca Dancose-Giambattisto won bars with 9.925s.

Nebraska 196.15 at Ohio State 195.975

NU defeated new Big 10 rival Ohio State at home.  Emily Wong led the way for the Huskers, posting a 39.45 to win the AA.  Teammate Janelle Giblin won bars while classmate Brittany Skinner tied for the vault title with Ohio State's Sarah Miller.  Miller also won beam and tied for the floor title with teammate Melanie Shaffer.

WVU 195.15 at NC State 195.2

Host NC State edged the Mountaineers by 0.05, led by Diahanna Ham's 39.125 AA win.   Frosh Brittni Watkins won another floor title.  Teammates Rachel Fincham and Stephanie Ouellette shared the bars title with WVU's Erica Smith and Kaylyn Millick.  Millick also won the beam.  WVU frosh Jaida Lawrence added a win on vault to round out the event winners.

Penn State tops the Men's National rankings, as tabulated by Troester GymInfo.  

Michigan's Adrian de los Angeles is the top AAer.

Michigan tops this week's rankings for the Women, edging #2 OU.  Florida is third.  Individually, Kytra Hunter of Florida leads the rankings in the AA with a 39.675.  She is also the top UB worker.  Maryland's Katy Dodds and Minnesota's Kayla Slechta are tied for the top vault spot.  On beam, Maryland's Stephanie Giameo is the top competitor.  On floor, UCLA's Vanessa Zamarripa holds the top spot.

WMU defeated visiting EMU by 0.5, led by Kayla Weber's wins on bars, beam and floor.  She compiled a 39.3 AA tally.  Teammate Lauren Bledsoe won beam.
