The NCAA has released the NCAA Code Modifications for 2022-2024. These Code Modifications build upon the USA Gymnastics Women's Development Program (WDP) Code of Points. The WDP Code was also just revised, in a major updated timed for 2022-2026. Many will be disappointed that the NCAA did not strengthen the code and eliminate common loopholes, and help address the record-breaking scores we have been experiencing. However, there are a number of changes, many of which do have the potential to increase variety. Amelia Rieder, United Sports Academy, qualified to regionals and placed 18th AA.
Don Houlton makes the move from CMU
Erin Baugh, Zenith Elite, qualified to '22 regionals and placed 22nd AA.
Samantha Shanno, Phenom Gymnastics, competed only UB this season.
Sophia Nguyen, Legacy Gymnastics, placed 2nd AA at regionals this season and 23rd AA at nationals.
Paige Anastas, Brestyan's, qualified to compete fx in the IES session of '22 nationals and placed 12th.
Alexa Wade, Gym Quarters, competed only beam this season.
Addy Rothstein, Gotham Gymnastics, won her regional bars title this season and qualified to nationals where she competed three events.
LSU commit Konnor McClain captured her first US title with a consistent effort at the OOFOS US Championships. She posted a 112.75 to claim the title ahead of Shilese Jones, the Day 1 leader. Jones suffered falls on BB and FX. UCLA's Jordan Chiles was 3rd while Florida's Kayla DiCello was 4th. Oregon State's Jade Carey was fifth. Back in 6th was Florida commit Skye Blakely. McClain captured the BB title while Jones claimed the FX title and shared the UB title with Florida's Leanne Wong. Wong only did UB and BB due to a minor injury sustained on Day 1. Carey took the title on VT.
OU commmit Addison Fatta was 10th while UCLA commit Katelyn Rosen was 12th. UCLA's Ciena Alipio was 17th while AU's Olivia Greaves tied for 9th on UB, her only event.
