Men's: Big Ten Event Finals

 Event champions were named at the Big Ten Championships:

FX:  Chase Davenport-Mills, Ohio State
PH:  Brandon Dang, PH
R:  Asher Cohen, NU
VT: Chase Pappas, Michigan
PB: Nathan York, NU
HB:  Carson Eshleman, Michigan    

Note:  A number of gymnasts scratched the event finals, particularly on the leg events.

Florida posted a 198.05 to defeated UGA's 197.75 as both squads advanced to Nationals.  MSU was 3rd at 197.0, just ahead of Cal's 196.975.  The Gators were led by Selena Harris-Miranda, who posted a 9.975 to win FX and tied with teammate Kayla DiCello for the top mark on BB.  MSU's Nikki Smith was the AA winner at 39.725, and shared top honors on UB with UGA's Autumn Reingold.  UGA's CaMarah Williams won the VT. 

By virtue of Florida and UGA advancing, the Individual Qualifiers to Nationals became clear, based on the results of Round 2.  MSU's Nikki Smith was the top AAer.  Teammate Sage Kellerman appears to win the tiebreakers on VT (four score) and UB (four score).  Arizona's Abigayle Martin was the top performer on a non-advancing team on BB and MSU's Gaby Ortiz was the top scorer on FX.

Host LSU posted a 197.825 to win the Baton Regional and advance to Nationals.  Stanford posted a 197.225 to edge Clemson's 197.15.  Michigan was 4th at 196.75.  Kailin Chio led the way for LSU, winning the VT with a 10 and the BB with a 9.975.  She also won the AA at 39.75.  Teammate Kaliya Lincoln won the FX.  On UB, five gymnasts tied for the top mark:  Stanford's Anna Roberts, Ui Soma and Ava Sorrent plus LSU's Ashley Cowan and Clemson's Ella Cesario.

Based on the results, Individual Qualifiers to Nationals were also set.  Air Force's Maggie Slife was the top AAer in Round 2.  Brie Clark of Clemson was the top qualifier on FX.  Sophia Diaz of Michigan was the tiebreaker on UB (four scores) while teammate Carly Bauman won the tiebreaker on BB.  Gwen Fink of UNC won the tie-breaker on VT (head judge score/Updated).

Men's: OU Wins MPSF Championship

OU captured its second consecutive MPSF Conference title with a big 332.1 victory on Saturday.  In 2nd was Stanford at 327.2 with Cal 3rd at 317.75 and Air Force 4th at 303.8.  The Sooners were led Colby Aranda's win on PH, Fuzzy Benas' win on VT, Nathan Roman's win on PB, and Nico Hamilton's victory on HB.  For Stanford, Cooper Kim won FX and Asher Hong won R.

Greenville posted a 313.2 to win the ECAC Championships.  Navy was just behind at 312.2, with Army at 312.05 close behind.  W&M was 4th at 310.45, with Springfield 5th at 308.1 and Simpson 6th at 300.15.  Greenville's Jaxon Clapper led the way, winning VT and PB.  Teammate Kyler Hinson won he AA title and teammate Matthew Roth won PH.  Navy was led by Matthew Petros' win on HB.  Springfield's Blaise Rousseau won SR while Simpson's Braxton Jones won FX.

Michigan won its sixth consecutive Big Ten Conference title, posting a 323.5 to defeat NU's 320.7, Illinois' 316.7, Ohio State's 314.8 and PSU's 310.85.  Big Ten gymnast of the year Fred Richard won his fourth individual AA title, the 2nd gymnast to achieve that (John Roethlisberger of Minnesota was the other).  The Olympian and reigning NCAA champ posted an 81.3 for the win.  Saturday will be the event finals, and top event marks during the team event were posted by:

UCLA posted a 197.45 to win the second session in the second round at the Corvallis Regional.  Minnesota came from behind with a strong second half of the meet to take the 2nd spot with a 196.975, outdistancing Iowa's 196.75.  Washington was 4th at 195.85.  The Bruins were led by Jordan Chiles and Tiana Sumanasekeera, who tied for the top mark in the AA at 39.625.  They also tied for the top mark on FX while Chiles also had the top mark on VT.  Iowa's Aurelie Tran guaranteed herself a spot at Nationals with a 10 on UB.  Minnesota's Brooklyn Rowray had the top mark of the session on BB, but is tied for the top mark of the day and will await the results of Sunday's final.

OU posted a 197.875 to easily outdistance the field and win the second session of the second round at Lexington.  The Ohio State captured the other spot in the final, posting a 196.55 to just outpace Rutgers' 196.3, who entered the tournament as the #36 seed.  Ella Murphy led OU, posting the top mark on BB and tying for the top mark on UB with teammate Lily Pederson.   Troy Vetter led Ohio State, posting the top mark in the AA at 39.5 and sharing the top mark on VT with teammates Natalie Martin and Cameron Smith.  The trio led the Buckeyes to a team total higher than the Sooners on VT.  For Kentucky, Creslyn Brose had the top mark on FX, sharing it with gymnasts from session 1 but would win the second tiebreaker and therefore secured a spot at Nationals.  

Cameron Smith would win the tiebreaker for an individual spot at Nationals, if the Buckeyes don't advance.

Utah posted a 197.5 to defeat Bama's 197.225, as both teams advanced to the Regional final in Corvallis.  Utah was feared to be the toughest #3 Regional seed, and that proved to be the case, seeing up a showdown on Sunday.  Host Oregon State was 4th at 196.375 and DU was 4th at 195.95.  Avery Neff led the Utes, producing the session's top marks in the AA at 39.65, on the BB and on the FX.  She also tied for the top mark on VT with teammate Ashley Glynn and DU's Shyla Bhatia.   On UB, Bama's Paityn Walker and Azaraya Ra-Akbar shared the top mark with Oregon State's Taylor DeVries.

Arkansas won the first session of the second round at the Kentucky Regional.  They posted a 197.175 to defeat Missouri, who also advanced to the final.  Maryland posted a 195.775 for 3rd, with NC State at 195.7 for fourth.  Arkansas was led by Morgan Price, who posted top AA mark at 39.575, the top mark on VT and tied for the top mark on UB with Mizzou's Hannah Horton.  Teammate Joscelyn Roberson placed 1st on BB and tied for the top mark on FX with Horton.

Florida posted a 198.125 to easily win the ASU Regional and advance to the Final.  Cal, with a 196.675, held off PSU (196.2) and host ASU (196.05).  Selena Harris-Miranda and Skye Blakely led the Gators.  Blakely won the UB with a 10 while Harris Miranda won the AA at 39.825, the VT at 9.975, the BB and the FX.

LSU posted its highest score ever in Regionals with a 198.375 as the hosts advanced to the Regional Final.  They will be joined by Clemson, who posted a 196.8.  Auburn was 3rd at 195.5 and Nebraska 4th at 195.0.  LSU's Kailin Chio posrted 10s on VT and FX on her way to a 39.825 AA win.  She also tied for the UB title with teammates Ashley Cowan and Kailin Chio.  Teammates Amari Drayton and Kaliya Lincoln tied for 1st on BB.

MSU posted a 197.35 to best UGA's 197.125 and advanced to the Finals of the ASU Regional.  BYU was third at 196.25 and SUU was 4th at 195.725.  Nikki Smith led the Spartans, winning the VT with a 10 and the AA with a 39.625.   She also won the UB and tied for 1st in the session on FX with teammate Gabi Ortiz and UGA's Harley Tomlin and Nyla Aquino.  UGA's Kelise Woolford won the BB.

Stanford posted a 197.175 and Michigan a 196.9 to advance to the Final at the LSU Regional.  UNC was 3rd at 196.25 and USU posted a 195.75.  Ana Barbosa led Stanford, winning the AA with a 39.575, taking the BB and tying for first on FX with teammate Alana Walker.  Cardinal Teralyn Nguyen won VT in the session while teammate Anna Roberts won the UB.
