Penn has promoted former Assistant and Quaker standout Kirsten (Strausbaugh) Becker as the new Head Coach. She's been an assistant for the last five years. Former Head Coach John Ceralde resigned on March 19th.

The Arthur Ashe Scholar Award honors student athletes of color for excellence in athletics, academics and community service.
Florida's Jenny Rowland has been named the National Coach of the Year by the WCGA. OU's Lou Ball and Tom Haley were named Assistant Coaches of the Year.

Long Island University has added a gymnastics program and it has named Randy Lane to the head coach position.
The NCAA is considering legislation that would reduce the number of sports schools need to sponsor to qualify for Division I status. This would enable schools to further cut collegiate sports, in particular non-revenue Olympic sports. The Intercollegiate Coach Association Coalition has started a petition. Please consider signing it today.
According to the coalition: "If the NCAA grants a waiver allowing for a reduction of the number of sports sponsorships for Division 1 qualification it would be a devastating, permanent blow to college athletes and forever alter the fabric of university life."

OU's Maggie Nichols was named the winner of the AAI Award. She's the first Sooner to win the award, which is given to the most outstanding senior gymnast (W). The other finalists were LSU's Kennedi Edney, NU's Taylor Houchin, DU's Maddie Karr, UK's Mollie Korth and UCLA's Kyla Ross.

MSU has signed Giana Kalefe for 2020-2021, according to a team tweet. Kalefe is a L10 from Wildfire. In 2019, she placed 44th AA at the Junior Olympic Nationals. She wasw also 10th AA at Regionals in 2018.

The most prestigious honor in men's gymnastics goes to Stephen Nedoroscik. The award is given the top senior male gymnast each year. He's the first specialist to be ever honored.
UCLA's Kyla Ross was named the Honda Award winner for Gymnastics. Normally the winners of the award from each sport would go on to compete for the Honda Cup, but the award will not be given this year. The other finalists were Maggie Nichols of OU, Lexy Ramler of Minnesota and Trinity Thomas of Florida.

Dula dealt with injuries this past season due to a back injury. She has announced her decision to retire.
