2010-2011: San Jose State Signs Greer

San Jose State has signed Julia Greer, according to a school release.  Greer is a two-time YMCA National AA champion who trained as a L10 at the Toby Wells Mission YMCA.  At the 2010 L10 Nationals, she finished tied for 32nd AA in the Senior D division.

2010-2011: Gophers Sign Cherwink

Minnesota has confirmed the transfer Justine Cherwink.  Her commit was covered in a previous news item.  Cherwink will be a freshman in eligibility, as she spent the first year at TWU but trained with her club team.

2010-2011: Alaska Signs MacDonald

Alaska has announced the signing of Shelby MacDonald to a letter of intent.  The Canadian native trainedand competed as a L10 for Geddart's Twistars in Michigan, placing 2nd this year at the Region V Regionals on BB.

2011-12 Radermacher to EMU

Jamie Radermacher, L10 from Naydenov Gymnastics in Washington, has committed to EMU for the 2011-12 season.  She took 1st on vault and floor at the Seattle Open meet early in the season and won vault and beam on her way to a 6th AA finish at regionals.  She placed 36th at JOs while finishing in the top 20 on vault, beam and fx.

Boosters of Cal Men's Gymnastics have formed "Cal Gymnastics Forever Foundation" and will be meeting with the Chancellor on the 14th to present a business plan.  They need your letters of support, and your donations.  Thus far, they have raised pledges for over 25% of the operating budget and 200 letters of support.  Click on the link to fill out an automatic letter generating tool.

Men's VISA Qualifier Results

The Men's qualifier to the VISA (US) Championships were held this weekend, and 23 seniors and 9 junior advanced.   A number of past, current and future collegians were in action.  Jesse Silverstein won the senior division, while Daniel Potemski was the top junior.
