Georgia held off host AU to win on the road Friday night. For UGA, Kat Ding won the VT and frosh Chelsea Davis tied for the BB title with AU's Kylie Shields. Shields also won the AA. AU frosh Brianna Guy won the FX, while teammate Allyson Sandusky won the UB.

Penn edged visiting Rutgers on Friday evening. Penn was led by Kirsten Strausbaugh who tied with Rutger's Danielle D'Elia for the UB title and the FX title with D'Elia and teammate Alexis Gunzelman. Teammate Amanda Schlaefer won the BB. Rutgers' Danielle D'Elia also won the AA, while teammate Alyssa Straub captured the vault.

Nebraska swept the event title en route to a 195.775 tally at Iowa State. Lora Evenstad led the Huskers, winning the AA with a 39.45. She also won the floor. Frosh sensation Jessie DeZiel won the BB and tied for first on vault with teammate Emily Wong. Another Husker, Janelle Giblin, won UB.

Florida rolled to a win over a young Kentucky squad Friday night. Frosh standout Kytra Hunter continued to excel, winning the vault and balance beam while tying for the uneven bar title with teammate Marissa King. King tied for the FX title with Florida's Ashanee Dickerson.

Another frosh, Utah's Georgia Dabritz, is the top FX worker. Bama's Geralen Stack-Easton tops the vault rankings, while UNC's Morgan Evans and UGA's Kat Ding are tied for the top spot on UB. The rankings this week are by season averages, so many teams have just their one score to count. Rankings during these first few weeks will shift quite a bit.

Using a strong floor rotation, Stanford held off San Jose State for the win. Ashley Morgan and Nicole Pechanec posted 9.9s on FX and UB, respectively, for the event wins. Pechanec also tied teammate Nicole Dayton for the VT win. For San Jose State, Thomasina Wallace won the BB and the AA with a 39.15.

UCLA powered to the road win at Berkeley, led by Sam Peszek 39.45 AA win and Vanessa Zamarripa's 10.0 on vault. Zamarripa added a win on UB while Peszek tied for the BB title with teammates Lichelle Wong and Elyse Hopfner-Hibbs. Hopfner-Hibbs won the floor to complete the sweep.

PSU hit 23 for 24 to roll to a win at UNH. Sharaya Musser of Penn State won vault, balance beam, the AA (39.425) and tied for the BB title to lead the Nittany Lions. Teammate Madison Merriam won the FX and shared the UB title with Musser and UNH's Danielle Reibold. PSU employed five AAers in the meet.

Western Michigan upset #21 Kent State, the NCAA Cindarella last season, in a home victory. For Kent State, frosh led the way. Chelsea Drooger won the VT while Whitnee Johnson posted a 38.625 to win the AA. Lindsey Runyun won the UB and Marie Case won the FX, but it was not enough to overcome the Broncos' team effort.
