Illinois State has signed Charlise Doctor to an NLI for 2018-2019. A L10 at Excalibur, she qualified to the 2017 L10 Junior Olympic Nationals. Most recently, she won VT and placed 3rd AA at the Virginia L10 State Championships.

Kendal Toy, a L10 from Metroplex, has committed to Yale. She previously committed to Washington but did not sign in the fall. After having experienced knee injuries the last two seasons, she was expected to sign this spring. She's coming back strongly, with a 2nd place AA finish in her age group at the 2018 L10 Texas State meet.
It's Conference Championship weekend, and we're our final stretch in the Race to Regionals. 39 teams remain in contention for 36 spots in the post-season, but many of the spots are essentially locked. Our biggest mystery will remain in the final Regional placements of the teams.
Here are some impressions from this season:
A consistent Illinois won the Big 5 meet at MSU, avoiding the BB problems that plagued the rest of the field. Illini Rae Balthazor won AA (39.525), BB and tied on UB with MSU's Hailee Westney. Ohio State's Alexis Mattern won VT while NU's Megan Schweihofer won FX.

Host Alabama posted a season best score of 197.525 to defeat UNC. Bama's Nickie Guerrero won BB and tied on FX with Bama's Ari Guerra. Guerra tied for first on VT with teammate Shea Mahoney and UNC's Khazia Hislop. Mahoney won the UB while frosh teammate Lexi Graber won the AA with a 39.5

UW's Evanni Roberson won BB & teammate Hailey Burleson tied for the FX title with Stanford's Kyla Bryant as the Huskies took advantage of Stanford's problems on UB. Bryant also tied for the UB title with teammate Elizabeth Price. Price took the AA with a 39.425 while Cardinal Rachel Flam won VT.

OU holds onto the top spot in the Women's National Rankings for the Week of February 19th, although their lead has narrowed after their problems on BB this past weekend. LSU rose to 2nd, just 0.147 points behind. Next week, the rankings switch to the Regional Qualifying Score, and we'll see some major shakeups.
Trailing by 0.3 heading into the final rotation, Michigan posted a 49.475 on BB to pull out the win. Brianna Brown led the way for the Wolverines, winning the UB. Host NC State was close behind, capitalizing on a countaing fall from Michigan, with wins from Chelsea Knight on BB and in the AA (39.35). UF's Alex McMurtry won VT (9.975) and UB while teammate Kennedy Baker won FX with a 10 to lead the Gators over the Crimson Tide. Gator Alicia Boren won the AA (39.6). Bama's Nickie Guerrero took the BB to deny the sweep.
