Bridgeport Wins ECAC Division II Title

Bridgeport took home it's 8th consecutive ECAC Division II title with a 195.125.  West Chester was 2nd with a 192.325 and SCUS third with a 191.3.  UB was led by Briana Comport, who won BB and tied for the FX title with teammate Randi Cutolo.  Teammates Hope Trali and Kimberly Stewart tied for the VT title, while Christine Liataud won the UB.

EMU Wins MAC Championships

EMU won the MAC Championships, posting a 196.425 to defeat runnerup Ball State 195.65.  Just beyind was BGSU at 195.625 and CMU at 195.6.  Kent State posted a 195.325 for for while NIU 194.975 and WMU 194.9 rounded out the field.

Pitt Wins EAGL Championships

Pitt won the EAGL Championships for the first time ever with a 195.675.  They were followed by: UNH 195.525, GWU 195.35, UNC 194.975, NC State 194.5, Towson 193.875.

Cornell Wins ECAC Championships

Team Results:  Cornell 193.925, W&M and Brown tied at 193.55, Penn 193.05, Temple 192.525 and Yale 192.15

UW La Crosse Wins NCGA Nationals

Wisconsin-La Crosse has won the National Team Title at the 2016 NCGA National Championships.  This is the Nationals for Division III teams where no athletic scholarships are granted.

Race to Regionals: Min and Max

The season is down to its final weekend, and 39 teams are in the position to qualify for Regionals.  29 teams have their places set, but there are 9 teams battling for six remaining slots.  And, there are 21 teams pursuing the Top 18 Regional Seeds. 

The Women's National Rankings are out for the week of March 14th.  With this release, a total of 29 teams have clinched their spots in the Regional competition.  Ten more teams are battling for the last remaining 7 spots at Regionals.   OU continues to lead the team race, with Florida 2nd and LSU 3rd.

Air Force 191.975 at Alaska 194.175

UAA prevailed once again in the second of two meets this week.  M'rcy Matsunami led the Seawolves again, winning VT, FX and the AA (39.175).  Teammate Sariaye Fishburn won the UB.  USAF's Shannen Kelly won the BB.

OU 197.95 at UCLA 197.2

No. 1 OU down host UCLA, despite resting several top gymnasts.  Chayse Capps led the way, winning BB and the AA (39.55).  Teammate Hunter Price won VT while Sooner McKenzie Wofford tied for the UB title with JaNay Honest.  Five athletes tied for the FX title:  AJ Jackson and Haley Scaman of OU, and Danusia Francis, Angi CIpra and Sadiqua Bynum of UCLA.

Jonny Tang led Navy with wins on FX and HB en route to an 83.8 AA win.  Teammates Eric Poletti, Andy Jones, and Mitchell Larios won R, VT and PB, respectively.

Men's: ASU 401.3 at UIC 385.35

Host UIC fell to ASU's men's club team in their final home meet.  Daniel Bronnenburg led ASU with a 15.25 on VT.

Cal broke through the 440 barrier for the first time to set a new program record.  Cal senior Kevin Wolting posted an 90.15 in the AA to lead Cal.  Besides a nation-leading 15.6 on VT, he also won FX and HB.

USU 194.725 at UIC 191.025

Bailey McIntire of USU won the AA to lead the Aggies to the win at UIC.  She also tied for the UB title with teammate Melanie Oster and the BB title with teammate Hayley Sanzotti.  Sanzotti tied for the FX title with teammate Madison Ward.  On VT, Aggies McKinezey Martinez and Michelle Yasukochi tied for the title.

Host GWU posted a 195.4 to hold off Kent State and defeat Yale.  Jillian Winstanley led the way with a win in the AA at 39.425.  She also won VT and BB.  Kent State's Ali Marrero won the UB while teammate Jordan Hardison won the FX.
