Oregon State 195.525 at LSU 196.925

LSU posted a season high 196.925 to handily defeat the Beavers in front of 5,641 fans.  Susan Jackson led the Tigers, winning the AA with a 39.65 and posting a win on FX and a tie for 1st on VT (with Oregon State's Mandi Rodriguez).  Teammate Summer Hubbard added a win on UB while another teammate, Samantha Engle, tied for 1st on BB with Beaver Laura Ann Chong.

Iowa 195.175 at Iowa State 194.15

In the cross-state battle, Iowa upended Iowa State with a season best.  Rebecca Simbhudas led the Hawkeyes, winning the VT and the AA with a 39.225.  Iowa State's Michelle Browning won BB and tied for 1st on FX with Iowa's Jessa Hansen to lead the Cyclones.  Teammate Ceilia Maccani and Iowa's Houry Gebeshian tied for the UB title.

Denver 194.35 at Auburn 196.225

Auburn posted a 196.225 to defeat the visiting Pioneers.  For Auburn, Allyson Sandusky won the VT while Kylie Shields won the BB.  Teammate Petrina Yokay tied with DU's Kelley Hennigan on the UB.  On FX, Tiger Toi Garcia tied DU's Kristina Coccia.  DU's Brianna Artemev won the AA with a 39.3.

Alaska 187.6 at Illinois State 193.875

Illinois State celebrated Senior Night with a 193.825 victory.  Erica Shick led the Redbirds, winning the UB, and tying for 1st on BB with teammates Andrea Orris and Hannah Deutsch.  She also tied for 1st on FX with Deutsch.  For Alaska, Kelsey Fullerton won VT.

Kentucky 196.05 at Kent State 195.95

It took season-bests from both squads, but UK prevailed by 0.1.   Hillary Ferguson and Emily Green tied for 1st on the FX to lead Kentucky.  Teammates Jamie Reimann and Emily Rymer tied with Kent State's Erin Rothrock for the UB title.  For Kent State, Christine Abou-Mitri won the AA with a 39.275 and the BB with a 9.875.  Teammate Christina Lenny won VT.

Bridgeport broke the school record with a 194.2 to win a quad meet Friday.  Bridgeport's Lorraine Gallow tied for AA honors with Towson's Kacy Cantanzaro, tying her school recard at 38.925.  Teammate Miranda Der tied the school record in winning the FX.

WMU 191.425, Penn 189.625, GWU 189.475 at Pitt 194.525

Pitt posted a 194.525 to win the quad meet over WMU, Penn and GWU.  Pitt's Alicia Talucci led her squad, winning the AA with a 39.15 and the BB with a 9.9.  Teammate Dani Bryan added a win on VT.  For WMU, Kristine Garbarino won UB while GWU's Leslie Delima won FX.

UNC 194.225, Ball State 191.35 at Florida 197.55

UF won the tri-meet with UNC and Ball State, posting a season high 197.55. A pair of UF frosh shared the AA title at 39.475:  Ashanee Dickerson and Marissa King.  Dickerson also won VT and shared the FX title with fellow frosh King, Liz Green and Randy Stageberg.  Teammates Amanda Castillo and Maranda Smith shared the UB title while another Gator, Rebecca Zaiser, won FX.

NC State 192.825 at William & Mary 190.375

NC State travelled to William & Mary and prevailed, 192.825 to 190.375.  Brittany Vontz led NC State with a career-high 39.1 in the AA.  Vontz also picked up wins on BB and FX.  Teammates Brooke Barr and Lauren Deuser won VT and UB, respectively.

2011-12 Kadous to Auburn

Caryn Kadous, L10 from Aerial Athletics in Texas, has commited to Auburn for the season.  Kadous has earned top 5 all around finishes in all of her meets this season, including a 2nd place AA (1st FX) at WOGA.

Air Force signs six for 2010-11

Six high school seniors have signed on to compete for Air Force next year.  Two of them, Emily Bucher from Oshkosh, and Jessica Hanner from Jenks, were previously reported.  Joining them will be Madeline Bannon, L10 from Colorado Aerials; Linnaea Hance, L10 from Aerials in Illinois;  Jennifer Larson, L10 from Flips in Minnesota; and Katie Hawthorne, L10 from Texas Elite Gymnastics.

2011-12 Perkins to Boise St

Ciera Perkins, L10 from GymCats in Nevada, has committed to Boise State for the 2011-12 season. Perkins is having a strong competitive season this year, picking up 1st place AA finishes at the Vegas Cup (1st UB/BB/FX) and Cactus Cooler (1st V/UB); a second place at the Lady Luck Inv. (1st UB/FX); and a 6th place at the San Diego Classic (1st UB).

Men's National Rankings for the Week of March 1st

For the men this week, the rankings from GymInfo are done by the average of three meets.  This week, OU leaps to the top spot in the poll, followed by Stanford.  This past weekend, the two teams posted the highest scores recorded in the NCAA so far this year.  OU's Jake Dalton remains the top AAer and the top vaulter, while teammate Steven Legendre still leads the FX.  Illinois' Daniel Ribeiro is also still on top on the PH, but Ohio State's Brandon Wynn takes over the top spot on Rings.  On PB, Cal's Kyle Bunthuwong is the leader, while on HB, Illinois' Paul Ruggeri is the leader.

Kiley Field, L10 at Gold Coast Gymnastics in California, has committed to SJSU for the 2011-12 season.  She recently finished 3rd AA at the Black Tie Invitational and competed three events at the Spirit of the Flame meet, finishing 2nd on BB and 3rd on Bars

2011-12 Gross to Kentucky

Alexis Gross, L10 at Docksiders in Maryland, has committed to Kentucy for the 2011-12 season.  Gross recently won her age division at the Sweetheart Invitational and she has placed in the top 10 inthe COTC, World Class Invite, Brestyans' Invite and Metroplex this season.
